Melatonin is the hormone responsible for regulating the body's biological clock. It is produced in the pineal gland, which is in the brain. During the day, the pineal gland produces serotonin in the brain, but at night the pineal gland stops producing it and starts producing melatonin instead.
What needs melatonin?
In essence, when a person ages, the body produces less melatonin. Disadvantages may cause insomnia.
